John Roberts

I’m John Roberts—a  UK Athletics Level 1 Coach (LiRF), who believes that great coaching starts with understanding the person, not just the pace chart.

Most of the athletes I work with are juggling busy jobs, family life, and limited training time. My role is to help you train smart, stay consistent, and make progress without burning out or breaking down.

I coach running and triathlon across all levels, from complete novices to athletes chasing big goals like marathons and long-course triathlons. Every plan I create is tailored, flexible, and built around real-world constraints—because life doesn’t stop when you start training.

As an athlete myself, I’ve experienced the highs, the setbacks, and the frustrations that come with endurance sport. That’s why my coaching is supportive, structured, and grounded in long-term progress. You’ll always know what you’re doing, why you’re doing it, and how it fits into the bigger picture.
